The pace of technological innovation is accelerating, with changes unfolding in seconds. A new era of creativity is being ushered in by low-code development, which has revolutionized efficiency, and generative AI that breaks traditional limitations. We know that innovation is at the heart of this technological revolution, but how can we truly take advantage of its power?

Come and explore the world of AI at the 1st Power Platform + GPT Hackathon in Greater China. With the theme "Unlock Possibilities with AI & Low Code", you can experience Copilots and AI within Power Platform. Participants of all levels are welcome.

Competition Schedule

A two-day training session with hands-on practice will be held prior to the hackathon to equip you with the basics. Teams are required to complete their app and submit by 10th November. The final competition will take place among the Top six ranked works in the evaluation, with the winner and the Best Industry Solution Award, the Best Functional Optimization Award, the Most Business Value Award, the Best Technical Implementation Award, and the Best Customer Experience Award being announced at the award ceremony on 22 November.

Submit Entries

• You can download the submission template here and complete it according to the requirements. And send the Entries to the designated Email: GCRPPhackathon@microsoft.com

• To apply for a Power Platform HOL account, please refer to the guide.

• Make a video for the competition entry, including Ideas for the app (creative, promotional) App demonstration (business logic, application scenarios, innovative highlights), difficulties encountered during development process, and how to overcome them. (Video should not exceed 3 minutes and 1G in size).

• The competition is exclusively for corporate clients. Ensure originality and avoid plagiarism. Do not infringe any intellectual property rights of third parties.

Evaluations & Prizes

Technical Requirements

• The participating works must ensure technology integrity and highlight practical business solutions.

• Develop business apps using Power Apps platforms.

• Utilizing Power Automate for automated business processes, including approval workflows, data transfer flows, RPA automation processes.

• Build intelligent applications with GPT capabilities using AI Builder or Azure OpenAI.

• Cross-system business integration, such as automatically entering data processed by intelligent applications into Dynamics 365. (optional)

• The introduction of AI technologies such as object recognition, text recognition, etc.

• Collaboration and communication with Microsoft Teams.

Explanatory rights of the competition and intellectual property rights of the works

All entries are owned by the participants. Information relating to entries and authors may be used for promotional materials, publications, designated and authorized media coverage, and for competitions, exhibitions (including roadshows), or other purposes by competition organizers.

In the following circumstances, the competition organizers may disqualify participants:

• Misrepresenting one's identity;

• Incomplete or false information in the application;

• Violation of applicable laws and regulations;

• Cheating, infringement on intellectual property rights, and violations of privacy;

• Work submitted that contains content deemed inappropriate by the committee competition organizers.

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to the best ideas, apps, flows or dashboards. On "the date", the top six winners will be selected, and each winner will receive the following prizes. Winners will be notified by the email address they provided in their registration form.

The Champion

Team Reward: Mysterious gifts, an honorary trophy, and a certificate.

Individual Reward: Each member of the winning team will receive a T-shirt.

• Winners will be announced on the hackathon website within one month.

• The winners will be responsible for paying any personal income tax or other taxes related to the prizes. Winners' personal information, such as ID cards, will be collected by the competition organizer solely for the purpose of completing their tax obligations.

• All prizes and trophies will be sent by courier to the addresses provided by the participants. All participants are responsible for ensuring that the information they submit is accurate and complete. It will be considered an automatic withdrawal if the prize is not received due to incorrect addresses.

• The prizes will be despatched once the winners are announced.

• Prize models and colors are subject to final distribution. Organizing committees reserve the right to interpret the prizes.
